About us
ISI Seal explains the money side of running a household in the UK: pensions, tax, home bills and family paperwork, in plain English and with the official source alongside.
What we write about
Our articles cover four areas: pensions and retirement, tax, home and energy, and money and family. We write for adults managing a household, many of them approaching or already in retirement, who want to understand how a rule works and what to check, without a sales pitch.
How articles are checked
- Every fact and figure is checked against an official or authoritative source, such as GOV.UK, HMRC, the NHS, Ofgem, the FCA or Citizens Advice, and the main sources are listed at the end of each article.
- Worked examples use invented people and figures and are labelled as illustrations. They show how a rule works; they are not a forecast of anyone’s own position.
- Each article shows the date it was published and checked. Rules and figures change, so we recommend checking the official source before acting.
- Articles are written and reviewed by the ISI Seal editorial team and carry an editorial byline.
Who publishes this site
ISI Seal is published by Sapienter OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 11386066, VAT number EE101144580). The site is funded by its publisher and is promoted through paid advertising. For that reason every page carries the label “Advertisement · Sponsored content by Sapienter OÜ”.
What we are not
We are not a government website and are not connected with HMRC, the DWP, the NHS or any regulator, pension scheme, bank, energy company or insurer. We do not give personal financial advice, take applications or charge fees, and we never ask readers for personal financial details.
